A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Lebanese singer SUZANNE TAMIM.
The star's body was discovered last month (Jul08) in the city of Dubai, with media reports suggesting she suffered multiple stab wounds and mutilation to her face.
Police arrested a 39-year-old man a few days ago in another Arab country.
Mattar al-Mazeina, Dubai's acting chief of police, revealed the man had posed as an estate agent to gain access to the singer's flat and fled the United Arab Emirates 90 minutes after the murder. Evidence collected at the scene helped track the unidentified man.
Tamim shot to fame in Lebanon in 1996 after winning a TV talent show, but her music career was marred by her troubled personal life.
She was reported to have fled to Egypt in 2007 and subsequently moved to Dubai following a series of bitter legal battles with her estranged second husband, music producer Adel Maatouk.
