Rapper taboo cannot wait to reunite onstage with his Black Eyed Peas bandmates will.i.am and apl.de.ap at an upcoming charity concert, because they have not performed together in three years.

The I Gotta Feeling hitmakers, minus singer Fergie, are set to headline the Rebuild Philippines! benefit gig at Hollywood's Greek Theatre on 8 June (14) to help raise funds for the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, which caused destruction across the region in November (13).

Taboo admits each of the bandmembers have been busy working on solo projects in recent years, so the get-together at the fundraiser will give them a chance to catch up with one another - and delight fans with a mini-reunion.

He tells Los Angeles Tv station Ktla, "It's great because it'll be the first time that me, will.i.am and apl.de.ap are gonna be onstage since 2011 (sic). We've all been chasing individual endeavours... Now that we get the opportunity to be onstage together, it'll be like a reunion."

The concert, organised by proud Filipino apl.de.ap's eponymous foundation, will also feature performances by Talib Kweli, The Filharmonic, AJ Rafael and the Jabbawockeez, the season one winners of MTv reality show America's Best Dance Crew.
