Tameka Foster, the ex-wife of Usher, has spoken about losing primary custody of her two children after a court ruling on Friday (August 24th) deemed that Usher would emerge victorious from the pair's long-running custody battle.
Foster, who gave birth to Usher Raymond V in 2007 and Naviyd Ely Raymond a year later, took to Twitter to put something of a positive spin on things after the news broke, saying "Money can buy many things... But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail."
Tameka also wrote a statement for The Global Grind, during which she outlined that the last thing she wanted was to become embroiled in such a bitter battle with her ex for the custody of their two children. In the statement she admits that prior to going to court, she and Usher had already come to a 'joint custody' agreement.
The ruling couldn't have come at a worse time for Tameka either, as it has been less than a month since her son from a previous relationship passed away due to injuries sustained when he was struck by a jet ski in the water. Kile Glover was only 11 when he passed due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
Usher and Tameka were married for 2 years from 2007 to 2009 and had been struggling to come up with a way of deciding where the custodian rights should lie. Although Usher has been granted primary custody, Tameka has been granted visitation rights, although the full terms of the agreement have yet to be decided.
