Taylor Armstrong, the star of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', has received messages of sympathy after her estranged husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide, reports MSNbc.com. The 47-year-old businessman hanged himself in his Mulholland Drive apartment and was discovered on Monday (15th August 2011).
A spokesman for 'Real Housewives' network Bravo said, "All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time". Russell leaves behind wife Taylor and 5-year-old daughter Kennedy. Some of Taylor's cast mates have already begun tweeting their messages of condolence. Adrienne Maloof said, "My heart goes out to @TaylorArmstrong and Kennedy during this devastating time. You will be in my thoughts and in prayers", while Bravo's Andy Cohen tweeted, "I am so very sad about today's news.My prayers and thoughts are with Taylor Armstrong and her family". Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes offered her support to Taylor in a direct message, saying, "My dear friend! My heart goes out 2 u! I'am here 4 u".
Russell Armstrong appeared in the first season of the hit reality show, although it is unclear whether he had been involved in recent filming for the upcoming second season.
