Country sweetheart Taylor Swift has won a trademark infringement lawsuit filed against street merchants selling counterfeit memorabilia bearing her name and image.
The Love Story hitmaker took legal action against 16 individuals who were found to be selling fake Swift goods across the U.S. while she was on the road last year (09).
A federal judge in a Nashville, Tennessee court granted the singer a default judgement last week (ends01Oct10) after the defendants failed to respond to the lawsuit.
As a result, the 16 street vendors have been banned from manufacturing or selling any further merchandise bearing Swift's face or name.
