All steam trains run by West Coast Railways (WCR) in the U.K., including the popular tourist attraction, have been halted following an incident last month (Mar15) when a driver failed to stop at a red signal.

According to reports, a high-speed collision was avoided by just a minute, causing officials at Britain's Network Rail, which controls most of the country's railway infrastructure, to issue a temporary ban on all WCR services.

The route of the Hogwarts Express, known formally as the Jacobite, covers part of the West Highland Railway Line in Scotland, and runs between Fort William and Mallaig in the country.

It is not known when the ban will be lifted.
