Their fourth single Don't Look Back Into The Sun ensued in August 2003 and was produced by Bernard Butler (Suede). A second album, The Libertines, was released in August 2004 and entered the UK album chart at Number One, spawning the top 10 singles Can't Stand Me Now and What Became Of The Likely Lads.

Both Peter Doherty and Carl Barât have gone onto have highly successful solo careers as well as with their respective bands - Babyshambles and Dirty Pretty Things. Peter Doherty, who is currently on tour in Europe, released the highly acclaimed third Babyshambles album, Sequel To The Prequel, last year. Carl Barât has just formed a new band, recruited via the internet, called Carl Barât & The Jackals, who release their debut album in September.
