The Lumineers Announce November 2013 UK Tour

The Lumineers are delighted to announce the details of their second UK tour, to take place in November 2013. Fresh off the back of their packed festival crowds at Glastonbury, T in the Park, Belsonic and Reading/Leeds, the band have confirmed their largest UK headlining shows to date.

Friday 22 November - Manchester - O2 Apollo
Saturday 23 November - Edinburgh - Corn Exchange
Tuesday 26 November - Birmingham - O2 Academy
Wednesday 27 November - Plymouth - Pavillions
Tuesday 28 November - London - Alexandra Palace

To see them live is to see the band, led by front man Wesley Schultz, at its very best. So far, the demand for tickets in the UK has been astonishing; graduating from Hoxton Bar & Grill, to Koko, then Shepherd's Bush Empire and two consecutive nights at Brixton Academy, followed by sold out shows across the country. From this, to now headlining the 10,400-strong Alexandra Palace shows, The Lumineers are truly unstoppable.

The band's numerous performances and nominations cement what has been a phenomenal year for the Denver five-piece who have sold over 2 million copies of their debut self-titled album globally and over 4.5 million single copies of their debut single 'Ho Hey' in the US alone. In the UK, the album has hit the 300,000 mark, reaching an official chart hight at #8, while 'Ho Hey' is also certified Platinum. Both the album and single have been fluctuating in the UK iTunes top 10 since release last year with sales increasing week on week.

Another highlight this year was The Lumineers' performance at the legendary Grammy Awards 2013, at which they were nominated for bother "Best New Artist" and "Best Americana Album".

Support for the UK tour will come from California based alt-folk band Thao & The Get Down Stay Down.
