After a string of high-profile television performances including an electrifying stint on Saturday Night Live, where they performed their breakout hit 'Ho Hey' and the excellent 'Stubborn Love', The Lumineers have announced that they are to perform at the Grammy Awards ceremony on February 10th. They have received nominations for 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Americana Album'.
Jeremiah revealed the exciting news via a tweet: "So we're playing one of our tunes on @TheGRAMMYs on Feb 10, guess which one? - Jer #TheWorldIsListening @CBSTweet".
It's been a phenomenal year for the Denver-based trio who, in that time, have become the biggest US DIY success story in recent memory. They've sold over 550,000 copies of their self-titled debut album and have double platinum status with over 2 million sales of their debut single 'Ho Hey' through the independent Nashville-based label, Dualtone.
The Grammy-nominated trio currently occupy the #3 album slot on Spotify in the UK and have the #3 single on Spotify in the US. Their debut album and single were released in November in the UK and are currently both in the top 20. The Lumineers are returning to the UK next month to embark on their first headline UK tour, all dates have sold out!
