Rockers The Magic Numbers surprised shoppers in Edinburgh, Scotland on Wednesday (18Sep13) by performing an acoustic set for 40 people in a bid to fight poverty.

The band took time out of its busy schedule to help charity shop Oxfam launch its annual music festival, Oxjam.

Lead singer Romeo Stodart was delighted to support the cause and tells Britain's Daily Record newspaper, "I've put aside a few Bowie albums for myself. It's great to get in some shopping before soundcheck."

Oxjam music festival takes place every October with a range of musical performances hosted across the U.K.
