Veteran boyband singer Alan Osmond has suffered a heart attack - but is fighting back strongly from the health scare.

The eldest member of seventies heart-throb singing family The Osmonds recovered quickly, and was able to join his siblings to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week (ends9AUG03) - nevertheless he regards the scare as a "wake-up call".

A message on the Osmonds' website says the 54-year-old, who also suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, is "back home and feeling much better. There was some heart damage but he said he was watched over and is ok".

The Mormon group, which includes DONNY, WAYNE, MERRILL, JAY and MARIE, are planning a comeback tour next year (04).
