The recent The Police reunion tour was tougher than frontman Sting had imagined it would be - he was sick throughout the 2007 world trek.
The Roxanne rocker had to convince bandmates Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland that he was deadly serious about a reforming the band, and throughout the tour he feared he'd made a big mistake.
Sting tells Britain's Mojo magazine, "It was more difficult that I thought it would be. Psychologically speaking, that is.
"It was like going back to a dysfunctional marriage where all the old problems were still there. The truth is I got ill. I got physically ill. I got through it, but it wasn't easy."
The long tour, which took in 152 dates around the world, ended in New York last year (08), with Sting insisting the trio would never reform again.
