The Saturdays stars Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White are heading to Africa this week (begs18Jun12) to raise awareness of the continent's poverty plight for British charity Comic Relief.
The pop singers are jetting off on Tuesday (19Jun12) - and they are expecting their visit to be an inspiring one.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, White writes, "Me and Rochelle are going to africa on tuesday for comic relief, I'm so excited to be a part of this, I have always wanted to go!..Thank god Rochelle is the organised one, she already has the mosquito sprays to bring! I'm sooo (sic) sharing a room with her."
Wiseman added, "I think it should be a really inspiring trip. I have no idea what to expect. I'm glad to be raising awareness."
The Saturdays have previous links with Comic Relief - they were chosen to sing the official song for the charity's Red Nose Day event in 2009, a cover of Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough.
