British rockers The Stone Roses were forced to cancel an appearance at a Romanian music festival on Saturday (11Aug12) due to bad weather.
The band, which reformed in May (12) after 16 years apart, was due to headline the second day of the Summer Well Festival, but organisers decided to scrap all of the performances over safety fears.
A post on The Stone Roses' Twitter.com page reads, "Unfortunately this evening’s show at Romania’s Summer Well Festival has been cancelled due to weather and safety issues."
A statement from festival organisers, adds, "Due to the rains of the last days (sic), and because of the heavy rain of last night Summer Well is forced to cancel its second day. For safety reasons, there will be no concerts today... Those willing will be able to get a 50 per cent refund on each ticket."
Other bands on the cancelled bill included The Vaccines and Glasvegas.
