Australian pop stars The Veronicas are taking legal action against a clothing company over allegations they are owed money from merchandise sales.
The singing twins - Jessica and Lisa Origliasso - have filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court of Victoria claiming they have not been paid by executives at the Designworks Clothing Company, which formerly held an exclusive licence to sell the band's merchandise in Australia and New Zealand.
The lawsuit claims a 2007 contract states the duo must be paid 12 per cent of royalties on all wholesale deals within 30 days and alleges they have yet to receive any money from sales dating back to December (09).
The Veronicas' agreement with the firm came to an end in April (10) and the merchandising licence was handed to another company.
The lawsuit is seeking payment for sales, as well as damages, interest and legal costs, according to the AAP.
