Thom Yorke is to play a solo set at Latitude Festival.

The Radiohead frontman will take to the Obelisk Arena stage at 12pm on Sunday July 19 to open proceedings on the final day if the Suffolk-based music event.

Melvin Benn, Managing Director of organisers Festival Republic, said: "There is nothing I can add that Thom Yorke's confirmation doesn't already say.

"That it is a special one off performance for Latitude only fills me with enormous pride at the statement it makes about the festival. I am overjoyed at the thought of it."

The rare solo appearance comes ahead of the 'Just' group's appearance at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August.

This year's Latitude Festival, which takes place on July 16-19, is headlined by Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.

Tickets are still on sale, costing £150 for weekend passes or £60 for day tickets.
