Chris Hemsworth worries his buff body could overshadow his acting career.

The hunky 'Thor' star admits his physique has helped him kick off his acting career which includes high profile roles Marvel's 'Avengers Assemble' and 'Snow White and the Huntsman' but hopes it is his acting skills which keeps people interested.

Speaking about his body, he told the US edition of GQ magazine: ''It's helped me get a job, sure. But you hope it's not the only thing that helped.''

Despite his good looks, Chris, 28, remains down to earth and admitted he finds some other actors' pre-shoot rituals strange.

He explained: ''I worked with a guy once who would chant, 'I'm beautiful and I have a secret, I'm beautiful and I have a secret.'''

Meanwhile, the actor - whose wife Elsa Pataky gave birth to their little girl India Rose in May - revealed his own unusual method for preparing to play the alcoholic huntsman in 'Snow White'.

Chris started spinning around in circles before his scenes and explained: ''It really shakes everything up, and you feel a bit more alive. I actually started spinning in circles before the scenes where I didn't need to be drunk.''
