Oscar winner Tilda Swinton was staggered by the amount of free stuff on offer at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January (08), claiming the event has become like "a polluted lagoon".
The actress was at the festival with her new film Derek, which she wrote and produced, and was ostracised when she told organisers she wanted nothing to do with the "swag".
She explains, "Everybody went there to enjoy the crystal waters and the white sand, and they just messed it up with swag bags and studio deals.
"I actually said I didn't want any swag, and it was not kindly taken. Someone almost said to me, 'Well, what are you doing here then?'"
