Helena Bonham Carter is addicted to crisps.

The 'Sweeney Todd' actress can't get enough of Walkers crisps and says she likes nothing more than sitting at home stuffing the potato-based snacks in her mouth.

Asked what her most lowbrow indulgence is, Helena replied: ''Stuffing my face with salt and vinegar crisps, alternating with cheese and onion - Walkers, not posh Kettle Chips.''

The 47-year-old actress - who has children Billy, ten, and Nell, five, with her partner of 12 years, Tim Burton - enjoys her home comforts so much that she once had a special hot water bottle designed to warm her nose on the move.

Quizzed about her must-have piece of clothing, Helena said: ''If my hot water bottle is counted as a garment, it would be that. Tim Burton once designed a mini portable one for the tip of my nose. Otherwise, my FitFlop sheep-lined slipper boots.''

The British star says she would like to play fairy godmother to London and spread joy by giving people the gift of song and dance.

Helena told Stylist magazine: ''It's a very long list, but how about love, food and warmth for those who don't have it all around? Would also put small jazz-band pianos in public places for spontaneous sing-alongs and dancing. And create a day of no technology for adults as well as children.''
