Tim Mcgraw was left red-faced at the BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN MusiCares benefit on Friday (08Feb13) when The Boss called on the country star to sing Glory Days with him.
MCGraw and his wife Faith Hill had performed Springsteen's Tougher Than the Rest at the tribute show and had taken to the stage for the climax with the guest of honour and stars like Sting, Sir Elton John and Tom Morello.
He says, "I was standing on the end of the stage and I'm trying to hide a little bit, so Bruce says, 'Tim, come and sing the second verse to Glory Days'.
"You don't wanna say that you don't know the words... at a function honouring somebody who's one of your heroes... so I said, 'I can get through it,' but I still tried to hide after I said it.
"I came in late and then the teleprompter was going and I couldn't find my words and so I just had to laugh and hand it back to Bruce... It was pretty embarrassing."
