Tinchy Stryder's fans act like he is "a ghost" when they meet him.

The 24-year-old star is amazed by the over-excited responses he sometimes receives when his supporters run into him by chance when he is out and about.

He said: "I've had crazy fans just, like, lose themselves. They don't really do anything to you, they just go mad and they're in so much shock they don't know what to do with themselves. They look like they've seen a ghost or something.

"One time I came out of a shop and a fan grabbed onto my arm so tight, my drink nearly fell out of my hand. She was in shock, her mouth was wide open and she didn't say a word. She dropped her phone and loads of things, and her friend had to grab her away. That was a bit scary."

Though Tinchy - whose real name is Kwasi Danquah - occasionally gets mobbed by fans, he still strives to live a normal life.

He added: "Some people live like real-life rock stars and I try not to do that, but sometimes you just can't help it. It's the fast lane that we live in and you've gotta deal with it. At the same time, compared to a lot of other people, this isn't really showbiz; I still keep it humble and do day-to-day things.

"I think everything's normal, really. I don't really go out a lot - I'm not someone who goes out partying much. I like staying in and playing computer games."
