The Birds star Tippi Hedren is to be honoured for her career and activism by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
The movie veteran will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the organisation's 90th annual Installation & Awards Luncheon on 7 April (11) at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
As well as boasting an acting career that spans six decades, Hedren, who is the mother of actress Melanie Griffith, also rescues big cats and runs a wildlife preserve in Acton, California, called Shambala.
