Tom Cruise has opened up about his ex-wife Nicole Kidman's romance with Lenny Kravitz again, to declare his joy at their "allegedly unconfirmed" engagement.

The MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE star, whose 10-year marriage to OSCAR winning actress Kidman ended in 2001, recently disrupted the tight-lipped seal surrounding his ex-wife's new romance when he unintentionally confirmed it during an interview with veteran broadcaster Larry King.

Cruise told King he was still in love with his ex-wife because "we've lived a life together", but told of how glad he was that they both had new partners in their lives.

He said, "I'm now with Penelope Cruz and she is with, erm, she is with another."

King pressed him by asking, "Who's she with?" prompting Cruise to mumble, "She's with Lenny, Lenny Kravitz. He's a very talented musician."

And, after reports emerged that Kidman and Kravitz intend to marry, presenters on American daytime show The View pressed Cruise on Friday morning (05DEC03) on the subject.

After expressing his joy for Kidman, he said, "I want her to be happy. People say, 'How do you feel?' I say, 'You know what? She's the mother of my children. How can I not care?'"
