British Actor Tom Hardy Is Fronting A Poster Campaign Promoting Animal Adoption.
The Dark Knight Rises star has teamed up with bosses at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for the advert, which shows Hardy's adopted dog Woodstock licking his face, to encourage the public to take in animals from shelters rather than buy from breeders and pet stores.
The poster contains the slogan, "Adoption is love... find your own biggest fan at your local animal shelter."
Hardy took in Woodstock, nicknamed Woody, when he found the canine roaming the streets in Atlanta, Georgia while he was filming Lawless in 2011. His co-star Jessica Chastain also looked after the puppy until Hardy was cleared to take him back to the U.K.
