Sir Tom Jones teamed up with celebrated entertainer Jools Holland to perform a free gig in London on Thursday (13Jun13) as part of an anti-poverty campaign.

A number of high profile artists signed up to play surprise shows in the British capital across two days this week (beg11Jun13) as part of the ONE Campaign's week-long anti-poverty Agit8 drive.

Jones took to the stage outside the Tate Modern art gallery on Thursday afternoon (13Jun13) and he thrilled the crowd by performing with beloved pianist Holland.

Other stars scheduled to perform on Thursday included Jessie J, Alison Moyet, Amelia Lily, Jake Bugg, The View and Tinie Tempah.

Wednesday's gig included sets by Paloma Faith, Jamie Cullum, KT Tunstall, James Morrison and Biffy Clyro.

The campaign seeks to highlight issues of poverty ahead of the upcoming G8 conference which will gather world leaders from across the globe in Northern Ireland later this month (Jun13).
