Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green have officially taken a no-fur stance.

The Beady Eye rocker's label - which was founded in 2009 - have pledged to label their faux-fur trimmings and have requested to be added to a list of no-fur brands compiled by animal rights organisation PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

PETA Senior Programme Manager Yvonne Taylor said: ''Only the truly arrogant can ignore the suffering of minks who go mad from being confined to small cages and foxes who chew off their own limbs to escape painful steel-jaw traps.

''We are delighted to add Liam to the list of truly talented visionaries and trendsetters who are able to design stylish, fashionable and popular clothing without the use of fur.''

Liam's name is now on the list with other top designers who are against real fur, including Ralph Lauren, Stella Mccartney, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Vivienne Westwood.

The 'Roller' hitmaker has previously pledged to save the dachshund from extinction.

He said: ''Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I'm back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall.''

However, despite his animal-loving stance, he recently admitted he likes to ''wind up'' his own pet dogs by pretending he is planning to take them for a walk.

He admitted: ''I like winding me dogs up. I just stand there with the lead, shaking it for ages until they're s***ting and peeing all over the floor. And I'm stood there going, 'Walkies!' Then I sit back down again.''
