Former PINK FLOYD star Roger Waters is releasing two new anti-war tracks online to criticise the conflict in Iraq - and to help oust US President GEORGE W BUSH in the November (04) elections.

The rocker started work on TO KILL THE CHILD and LEAVING BEIRUT shortly after allied forces invaded Baghdad last year (03).

Waters is joined on the tracks, which have been available to download on his official website since Friday (03SEP04), by guitarist ANDY FAIRWEATHER-LOW, PP ARNOLD and GRAHAM BROAD.

He says, "It seems apposite to throw them (the songs) out there on the net, before the election. Historically, there have always been people within the artistic community who have spoken out about things they believe in and they should continue to do so.

"I shall certainly continue to do so, whether it has any effect or not, because I feel I have a responsibility to myself to do that."

In the emotive two tunes, Waters blasts corporate America and attacks both British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Bush.

Waters says of Bush, "Oh George! Oh George/That Texas education must have f**ked you up when you were very small."

And, of Blair, he sings, "Not in my name, Tony, you great war leader, you/Terror is still terror, whosoever gets to frame the rules."
