Veteran pop star Tony Christie and British comedian Peter Kay are sitting at the top of the UK singles chart with charity song (IS THIS THE WAY TO) AMARILLO.

The new entry, a reworking of Christie's 1971 hit, is raising money for annual fundraiser COMIC RELIEF, which benefits charitable causes in Britain and Africa.

(Is This The Way To) Amarillo knocked McFly's official Comic Relief song, All About You / YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND, off the top spot and down to number two.

Late rocker Elvis Presley is at number three with new entry SHE'S NOT YOU, while RICH GIRL by GWEN STEFANI FEAT EVE is another new entry at number four. Sunset Strippers' hit FALLING STARS, a remix of 1980s ballad WAITING FOR A STAR TO FALL, is at number five.

Top of the UK albums chart is STEREOPHONICS' LANGUAGE SEX VIOLENCE OTHER, with Tony Christie compilation DEFINITIVE COLLECTION at number two.

Third best-selling album is 50 CENT's THE MASSACRE, at number four is classical quartet G4's eponymous debut, while US rockers The Bravery's self-titled album is at number five.
