Tupac Shakur's mother AFENI will host a special screening of a documentary on her son in Lumberton, North Carolina - the area where the slain rapper's family began as slaves in America.

The highly anticipated TUPAC: RESURRECTION documentary, which opens across American on 14 November (03), will be unveiled in South Carolina on Friday (07NOV03) and has already premiered in Los Angeles.

Afeni says, "This is where our family heritage began. We were slaves, then sharecroppers, then domestics, right here in Robeson County. I want to share with our community how hard work, faith in God and sense of self can change things for the better in all our lives."

Tupac , who was shot and killed in 1996, has raked in over $40 million (GBP25 million) since his death at the age of 25.
