Unklejam
Stereo
Video
Monday October 15th sees the release of 'Stereo', the rather fabulous new single from the electro-soulsters Unklejam. Having hit the Top 20 with their last single 'What Am I Fighting For?', Unklejam have been touring up and down the UK, as special guests of Justin Timberlake and also making mud way more bearable and downright funky at festivals like Glastonbury, Wireless, Oxegen over in Ireland and T in The Park in Scotland.
Taking their name from a Funkadelic album, Unklejam is Tyson, Bobby and Adonis. They also name innovators like Prince, Gary Numan, Eurythmics, Donny Hathaway, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke and Sly & The Family Stone as their influences. With all their childhoods spent traveling and living in Hawaii, Germany, New York, Miami, Glasgow and Bradford, it's no surprise that Unklejam dodge simplistic pigeon holes, with their sound as diverse as their upbringings. Three very individual soul voices merge with electro beats, psychedelic swirls and funked up tunes into a musical mash-up of their very own.
Unklejam have just finished filming their video for 'Stereo' in Paris and are back in the Uk for another string of live dates:
