Cara Delevingne is Google's most searched fashion name of 2013.

The bushy-browed model beat Sir Paul Smith and Dame Vivienne Westwood to the top spot, with the designers coming second and third respectively out of all the fashion figures in the search engine's annual UK Zeitgeist list.

Victoria Beckham - who was catapulted into the spotlight with the Spice Girls before she turned her hand to a career in fashion - scored the fourth place on the list, although she came first in the list by rival search engine Bing.

Kate Moss sits in fifth spot, no doubt thanks to news of her comeback collection for high street retailer Topshop and her now iconic nude cover of Playboy magazine's 60th edition.

Meanwhile, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - who starred in this year's Christmas campaign for retail giant Marks & Spencer - fashion designer Alexander McQueen, TV personality Alexa Chung, Vera Wang and supermodel Naomi Campbell all made it into the top ten of fashion names.

In terms of fashion brands, US label Coach topped the most-searched list, with Hermes in second place and Chanel in third.

Cara also came out top in the list of fashion people trending on Google in 2013, meaning her name has seen the largest increase in traffic compared with 2012, narrowly beating Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.
