Newly-freed rapper T.I. thanked his fans, friends and family for their support at his homecoming brunch on Sunday (02Oct11) and promised he will "grow into something flyer, fresher and richer" in the future.
The hip-hop star was recently released from jail to a halfway house after serving a 10-month sentence for a probation violation, and he finally walked free last week (29Sep11).
He has made the most of his first few days of freedom, appearing at the Bet Awards in Atlanta, Georgia and performing with Taylor Swift at her concert in the city over the weekend (01-02Oct11), and T.I. marked his release with a lavish brunch on Sunday.
Stars including Young Jeezy and Nelly were in attendance at the event at Atlanta's Mansion Hotel, along with T.I.'s wife, Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, and the rapper used the opportunity to thank the crowd for supporting him while he was in prison, according to Allhiphop.com.
He said, "I appreciate ya'll for keeping me in your prayers. I'm a sincere, honest, loyal person and I don't take the support of people lightly. I will grow into something flyer, fresher and richer tomorrow."
The event was filmed by VH1 for T.I.'s upcoming untitled reality TV show and the star also used the day to launch Aqoo, the sister line to his male clothing line Akoo.
