Victoria Beckham has reportedly been taking acting lessons.

The former Spice Girl is said to be desperate to win a cameo role in the next 'Sex And The City' movie so wants to show producers she is taking it seriously.

A source close to Victoria - who was forced to turn down a walk-on role in the first film of the hit US TV series as she was busy rehearsing for the Spice Girls' reunion tour - said: "She really wanted to be in the last movie but wasn't able to take part because of her commitments with the Spice Girls. This time she's keen to take part."

The mother-of-three - who is carving out a successful career as a fashion designer - has previously revealed her disappointment at not being able to take up the cameo role.

She said: "I got asked to be in the 'Sex and the City' film, which I would love to have done. But, because I am in full-on Spice Girls rehearsals, I can't do it."

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2007, Victoria - who is married to soccer star David Beckham - has reportedly been keen to make it as an actress.

Last year she appeared as herself in a cameo role in 'Ugly Betty' and her only other acting part she's had is in the 1997's 'Spice World: The Movie', in which she again played herself.
