Vin Diesel thinks 'Furious 7' will win the Oscar for Best Picture.

The 47-year-old actor, who stars in the latest instalment in the action film franchise, thinks the movie is worthy of recognition at the Academy Awards in 2016.

He reflected: ''Universal is going to have the biggest movie in history with this movie.

''It will probably win best picture at the Oscars, unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant ever.''

In fact, Vin claimed that no other movie made this year will match the ''power'' of 'Furious 7', which also stars DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON, Michelle Rodriguez and Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in November 2013.

Vin told Variety magazine: ''This will win best picture. There is nothing that will ever come close to the power of this thing.''

The claim comes shortly after Vin revealed he ''went through three boxes of tissues'' on set after Paul Walker's death.

He shared: ''I had always been the kind of actor that other actors respect. I was just failing so hard. My nose was running and my eyes were tearing. I had to walk off set and try to get all the fluids out. I couldn't contain my emotion ... It became the toughest film I ever had to shoot.''
