Waka Flocka Flame - Waka Flocka Flame Votes For First Time
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame has cast his first ever vote ahead of the U.S. presidential elections after deciding to take his role as a taxpayer seriously.
The hip-hop star has taken advantage of early voting, which has been rolled out in 30 U.S. states, to pick the man he wants to be in the White House for the next four years.
America officially goes to the polls next month (Nov12) to decide whether Democrat President Barack Obama stays in power or is succeeded by Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
Waka Flocka Flame reveals he decided to finally cast his vote at the age of 26 after escaping his troubled life and becoming a functioning member of society.
He tells U.S. radio show Hot 97, "I've been voted early (sic). It's my first time voting. I'm a taxpayer now, so you know you got to (sic) vote for the right guy. They say every vote counts, I had to make sure mine did.
"Not trying to be hard, not trying to be tough, but if you're from the streets, how can voting help your life? How can tax dollars help your life?... Taxes, medical, insurances, you don't need none of that. But when you start living like a civilised person, you got to follow the rules."
