Legendary media company Walt Disney is reeling after cable company Comcast launched a hostile $54 billion takeover bid yesterday (11FEB04).

The bid comes after Comcast tried to enter negotiations with Disney's underfire chief executive officer Michael Eisner over a potential purchase, but he declined.

Comcast, if successful, would take over control of not only Disney's famous film division - responsible for big screen classics such as SNOW WHITE, The Jungle Book and Pirates Of The Caribbean: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL - but also their theme parks, movie studios and the ABC broadcasting network.
