Megastar Wesley Snipes, who was convicted with a 3 year custodial sentence following his 2008 court case, has failed in his attempt to appeal that the sentence was "unreasonable". Snipes was found guilty of not filing his tax returns for 1999, 2000 and 2001 back in 2008 and has been on bail since.
The 47 year old BLADE star had his appeal heard in front of 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta who decided to uphold the original three year jail term. It is not yet known when the jail term is due to begin or where the high profile star is likely to be incarcerated. WESLEY SNIPES' legal team had also challenged the fact that the hearing should have been held in New York rather than Florida but that decision was also upheld in favour of Florida .
The BBC's website reports that WESLEY SNIPES earned an estimated minimum of $37million gross over the period 1999 to 2004 but did not file individual federal income tax returns. The 'White Men can't Jump' and 'Passenger 57' star was cleared on the more serious charges of fraud and conspiracy.
