Wet Wet Wet star GRAEME CLARK has quit the band after 28 years.
The bass player informed fans of the news in a post on his Twitter.com page on Saturday (17Jul10), revealing he has decided to leave the Scottish pop group to focus on other projects.
Clark, who has battled depression and drug problems in recent years, founded the band in 1982 with Marti Pellow, Tommy Cunningham and Neil Mitchell and helped write some of their biggest hits.
In a post on his Twitter.com, page, he writes, "After a lot of soul searching (I) have decided to leave Wet Wet Wet. It has been an amazing journey - but it's time to turn the corner into another road."
