Wimbledon co-stars Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany have hit back at critics of their tennis performances in the romantic comedy.

Dunst and Bettany spent six months training for their roles with former-Wimbledon Champion Pat Cash, yet their skills have been branded "far-fetched" and "unrealistic" by scrutinising film journalists.

The VIRGIN SUICIDES beauty countered at Monday night's (20SEP04) London premiere, "I didn't even know about that. I thought it looked really exciting and good but it doesn't really bother me. Everybody has their own opinion."

Dunst went on to admit that tennis hasn't taken over her life - she hasn't even picked up a racket since filming wrapped.
