Wonder Woman is set to return, with ADRIANNA PALICKI chosen to play the crime-fighting superhero in a forthcoming pilot for NBC.
Adrianne Palicki, the American actress best known for her role on 'Friday Night Lights', is the new 'Wonder Woman', according to the Hollywood Reporter.Palicki will play the superhero in DAVID E. KELLEY's forthcoming pilot episode for NBC. The story will follow Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, as she attempts to balance her hectic life as a vigilante crime fighter, with her successful job as a cooperate executive. Palicki, who played 'Tyra Collete' in the acclaimed television series 'Friday Night Lights', is also set to appear in the forthcoming 'Red Dawn' remake. The 'Wonder Woman' pilot has been written by Kelley himself, and BILL D'ELIA will serve as executive producer. Warner Bros and producer Joel Silver attempted to make a big-screen adaptation of 'Wonder Woman' around ten years ago, with Angelina Jolie tipped to take the lead, however, the project never materialised.
The original television series, which ran from 1975 to 1979 starred Lynda Carter as the crime fighting super hero.
