UK rockers You Me At Six have signed with Prospect Park for the release of their highly anticipated fourth album,"Cavalier Youth," released on January 27th. With three Gold-Certified releases under their belt, You Me At Six have mastered the ability to write new modern rock classics that make the listener feel like they've known the songs for years, while continuing to develop fresh sounds with their signature riffs and killer hooks. A unique skill the band displays perfectly on the new Neal Avron (Yellowcard, All Time Low, Weezer, Fall Out Boy) produced, "Cavalier Youth". Fresh off a European arena tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and currently touring Australia with Paramoreand twenty | one | pilots, You Me At Six's Prospect Park signing alludes to major North American plans the band might have in store for 2014.
"We spent six months of 2013 in North America and it is truly our second home, " says You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi. The band called Los Angeles home for the duration of recording"Cavalier Youth". Franceschi continues, "Our US and Canadian Fans can expect to see a lot more of us in the next 18 months." While no North American tour dates have been officially announced, Franceschi hints at the possibility of the band setting out on their second North American headlining tour, "We will be touring heavily to promote our new album, and will be working singles to radio for the very first time in our bands' history."
"We're pumped to have You Me At Six join our Prospect Park family," added Jeremy Summers, President of Prospect Park Records, "They've built an intense connection with their US fans by being on the ground here, recording the album here, and selling out just about every rock club in the country." He continues, "There are a lot of rock music fans in here that have never heard of You Me At Six, and together, we'll change that this year"
The band premiered the first single off the upcoming record, "Lived A Lie" on Zane Lowe's Radio 1show, this past September in the UK. The track was also featured on the soundtrack for the biggest game release of the year - FIFA 14. The single immediately vaulted to the #1 position on the iTunes Rock Chart. The follow up UK single, "Fresh Start Fever" has already peaked #1 on the chart.
Their list of UK accomplishments include three Gold-Certified albums, two of which reached Top 5 on the UK Album chart, selling out Wembley Stadium, and charting 9 singles on Radio 1's A-List. And after their recent sold our US tour, You Me At Six are well-positioned for a North American takeover in 2014.
Franceschi coyly hints, "Our love affair with the USA and Canada is just beginning and we will see you all at a show very soon!"
