The key word above is theoretically. Takahisa Zere (who once made a film called A Fart of Monk) wants to make a Ghost for the Japanese fetishist in all of us, whic is certainly saying something. What that something is is utterly open to interpretation, but I doubt anyone will get much more out of the film than some cheap titillation. That is, unless you're really into reincarnation.
Shot on digital video, the film has the aesthetic of a freshman film school project, with lots of weird cuts, stop-motion, and arbitrary switches between color and black and white. There's lots of sex, too, which I don't think they cover much of in film school.
