Zac Efron takes career advice from Dennis Quaid.

The 26-year-old actor wants to tackle as many genres as possible after his 'At Any Price' co-star told him how important he felt it was to keep ''changing up'' his career.

He said: ''I've always wanted to do as many different things as possible.

''I once did a movie with Dennis Quaid and I asked him, 'If you could go back to your younger self, what would you say?'

''He said, 'Just keep doing different kinds of movies and always change it up', so that's what I try and do.''

Efron took the reins as producer for the first time on comedy 'That Awkward Moment' and says having an extra involvement made working on the movie even more special.

He told the Metro newspaper: ''This was my first movie as a producer and it meant I was able to help facilitate who was in the film.

''I felt like I was a little bit instrumental in putting it together, so I took a lot of pride in how this film was made, from the ground up.

''Movies are not just made by actors or directors or photographers. There's a whole crew and it's a massive undertaking.''
